Mayflower Residential Campus Vellore Tamilnadu
Introduction
Mayflower campus is located in the Vellore district of North Tamil Nadu. This campus covers about 42 acres of land, (adjacent to a village pond, and the pond’s outlet stream flows through the campus.)
Problem
Mayflower community and B&B Developers and Builders Pvt. Ltd. have been under our consultancy for almost 3 years. The problems faced by the community were related to
- Dry bore wells during the drought years of 2017-18
- Salinity issues and Salt scaling in pipelines (which led to reduced water flow/pressure and can also cause corrosion and thereby leaks and rupture)
- Water logging during heavy rainfall due to inefficient planning of stormwater drains
Process of Planning
As a result of the primary investigation, water experts at Nansey considered this project to be the typical case where all the problems related to water co-exist, be it water logging during heavy monsoon periods to salinity and drought during the summer season. Having expertise in water resource management, a complete holistic picture of the current water scenario was known.

Result
Nansey & Team have carried out Phase 1 operation which involved an extensive geological survey using advanced geophysical equipment along with GIS technology to fine-tune and shortlist critical and most vulnerable zones to find the probable reasons for waterlogging, to map aquifer recharge zones and to prepare an efficient as well as effective SWD (Stormwater Drains) and aquifer recharge points to replenish the groundwater supply.
