Meet Arul Sekar: Our Water, Soil, and Ecology Expert
Arul Sekar is at the forefront of our water, soil, and ecology initiatives at Nansey Restoration. With over 12 years of experience, he has successfully designed and implemented over 150 restoration projects across South India, spanning Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
Arul has collaborated with renowned organizations such as Wake Our Lakes, Waters of Pondicherry, and Salem Citizen Forum, providing technical expertise and implementation support. His contributions extend to water restoration projects with Sadhana Forest in Auroville.
Beyond his professional expertise, Arul is deeply passionate about nature, mountaineering, alternative schooling, and sustainable communities. As a certified mountaineer from the esteemed Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, he brings a unique perspective to his work.
Arul’s diverse skill set encompasses SAP consulting, as well as 13 years of experience in establishing and managing social enterprises in eco-tourism, rural textiles, water restoration, and organic farming. He is also a co-founder of ecoLogin Tribal and Rural Products and Services Pvt Ltd, a social enterprise focused on rural and adventure tourism. Furthermore, he serves as a trustee for the Basecamp Social Research Foundation, promoting rural and tribal produce.
Arul continues to contribute as a technical advisor to non-profit water restoration initiatives like Wake Our Lakes and Waters of Pondicherry, furthering his commitment to creating a sustainable future.

He is a certified mountaineer from ‘Himalayan Mountaineering Institute’, Darjeeling. His skillset and experience range from sprints of SAP consulting to 13 years of setting up and running social enterprises like eco- tourism, rural textiles, water restoration and organic farming.
